60/20 Tour: The Show-Me State, A Retiring Legend and a LeadingAge Crooning Ringer

Bethesda Southgate

Missouri kicks off week 2 and the 4th day of community visits on the 60/20 Tour. It was a delight to make our first stop to Bethesda Southgate, our first customer in Missouri many moons ago.  Chris Crouch has been a joy to work with over the years and it was coincidentally good timing to be visiting their community during the week she is retiring.  She’s a bundle of energy!  Her definition of retiring is simply no one telling her what she has to do every day. She will definitely stay engaged in this thing called life.

I was fortunate to meet a couple of local Missouri residents,  Larry Pirtle and Mary Ann Jarzemkoski.  They cranked out some appropriate words to “Meet Me in St. Louis” during our cruise and now we can say we’ve added the Show-Me State to our journey!   They are humble, prideful Missouri folks who uphold the values of faith,  humility and joy that we have heard so much about on our journey so far.  Today’s world seems to make things a lot more complicated…

Bill Bates,  LeadingAge state director for Missouri,  joined us for a cruise and cranked out some crooning of his own!  I’m trying to get as many LeadingAge state execs crooning on the trip as possible. It will be tough to compete with Bill but I’m sure a few will try.
