From connection to outcomes: Making social health part of everyday senior living

OG Card - Recording - 10.06.26 LLB

Bickford Senior Living, LifeLoop, AccuShield, and the Center for Applied Research in Dementia came together to make social health—a resident’s sense of connection, belonging, purpose, and meaningful engagement—a visible and measurable part of everyday operations.

During this practical webinar, leaders behind the initiative will share the challenges they set out to solve, the framework they used to turn their vision into repeatable practices, and the measurable outcomes achieved within operating Bickford communities. Attendees will explore how to establish ownership, embed personalized engagement into team workflows, identify residents at risk of social isolation, and use data to guide timely action.

Learning objectives:

  1. Describe why social health—including connection, belonging, purpose, and meaningful engagement—is an essential component of resident wellness.

  2. Identify common gaps in understanding residents, planning and delivering personalized engagement, documenting participation, and acting on social-health data.

  3. Apply the Define–Embed–Measure and Act framework to select a practical 30-day action and establish clear ownership within their organization.
