It’s Never 2 Late Founder Jack York Receives Leadership Award from What’s Next Boomer Business Summit

Pioneer in senior engagement technology honored for vision, innovation, and service

Denver, CO – April 25, 2019 – It’s Never 2 Late (iN2L), the leading provider of person-centered digital engagement to the senior living market, announces that its President and Co-Founder Jack York is the recipient of a 2019 Leadership & Innovation Award for Vision, Innovation and Service. York was presented with the award at a reception during the What’s Next Boomer Business Summit in New Orleans on April 17, 2019.

Produced by Mary Furlong & Associates, Lori Bitter and Michael Skaff, the What’s Next Boomer Business Summit is the nation’s leading conference for entrepreneurs, companies, experts, and thought leaders in the longevity market to meet and learn from Fortune 100 companies, leading start-ups, investors, and established nonprofit organizations who are supporting the largest and most lucrative consumer demographic in the world.

Since 2009, the What’s Next Boomer Business Summit has recognized and awarded individuals and organizations who are leaders in the longevity economy. True to the awards program name, the award committee seeks recipients that have demonstrated true longevity – in innovation and leadership as well as in dedication and passion to the 50+ market.

Jack founded iN2L in 1999, when the notion of using technology to engage with residents was practically unheard of. Today iN2L provides engagement technology solutions for nearly 3,000 nursing homes, assisted and independent living communities, memory care settings and adult day programs across the U.S. and Canada.  The systems are strategically designed to promote wellness, empowerment and engagement among seniors, regardless of ability, through programs that facilitate social interaction, cognitive skills, exercise, education, reminiscing and areas of interest. A focus for York and the company has been developing these engagement solutions specifically for older adults living with dementia and other cognitive disorders.

“I’ve admired Mary Furlong since founding iN2L and entering the senior living space 20 years ago and have been affiliated with the Boomer Business Summit for almost ten years,” noted York.  “Mary and her team are ahead of their time and have done extraordinary work in tying technology companies together and integrating them into the world of aging,” he continued. “Being recognized by this group is truly an honor, and sharing this experience with industry legends from AARP and United Healthcare was remarkable.”

As the 2019 recipient in the Leadership in Vision, Innovation and Service category, York is in distinguished company. Notable past winners of the award include: Guy Kawasaki – renowned author, speaker, entrepreneur and former evangelist at Apple; Terry Clarke – head of innovation at UnitedHealthcare; and Jake Sigal of Livio. Past winners in other categories have included: Nancy LeaMond – AARP; Vint Cerf – chief evangelist at Google; and Gary Moulton – Microsoft.
