What's new in LifeLoop: in one word, AI

At LifeLoop, we understand that the senior living industry doesn’t stand still. Resident expectations, staffing challenges, regulatory changes, and market fluctuations are just some factors that operators need to consider while managing busy communities. It’s this understanding that drives our innovation strategy; aligning our product enhancements to proactively meet our community customers’ evolving needs, ensuring that we enable operators to continue delivering enriching resident experiences and unparalleled staff efficiency as they navigate an ever-changing industry.

Here, we’re excited to recap some of the product enhancements we’ve rolled out this quarter. From big changes like introducing our first artificial intelligence enhancement to small functionality improvements, each product update is designed to further our mission to touch the lives of seniors and the people who care for them. 

Improve staff experiences

Accomplishing our mission of helping senior living communities flourish wouldn’t be possible without empowering staff members with tools that help them deliver positive resident and family experiences. This quarter, we made several product enhancements to help make staff lives easier, less stressful, and more meaningful.  

Take activity planning to a new level with AI enhancements

While artificial intelligence has the power to drive significant efficiency, it also has the potential to cause apprehension as a disruptive technology. With our first AI-enhanced offering, we were able to prove that we see AI as a connector, not a disruptor. We incorporated AI into one of our most popular solutions, Calendar Management, to streamline activity planning and multiply staff efforts with minimal overhead.

Our AI-enhanced Calendar Management solution was designed to drive significant time savings around activity planning and calendar creation. Staff now have the ability to simply enter a prompt, and let the Activity Generator suggest an unlimited number of creative, relevant activity ideas complete with suggested materials and facilitator notes.AI - calendar - without icon (1)

One of the most unique aspects of the AI-enhanced Calendar Management solution is that it considers resident preferences when suggesting activity ideas. So not only does it save staff time on ideating and planning activities, but it helps fill activity calendars with engaging activities that are uniquely tailored to residents’ likes and dislikes.

Finally, the AI-enhanced Calendar Management solution can be supplemented with our library of over 6,700 clinically-backed pieces of iN2L engagement content. Staff can easily add engaging, dynamic content like exercise videos and trivia games to AI-generated activities, cutting down on even more planning time so they can focus their energy on facilitating the activities and engaging with residents.

Our AI-enhanced Calendar Management solution represents a significant step forward in our innovation journey, and it’s simply the tip of the iceberg. Our AI vision includes further enhancements that are woven into the fabric of our platform, delivering value to multiple parts of your business.

Save time with pre-populated holidays
Apart from the AI enhancements, our Calendar Management solution now also includes the ability to automatically configure and pre-populate national holidays, religious observances, and seasons. With this update, communities can save time and enjoy a more accurate, streamlined calendar creation process.

Automatic holiday loading also reduces the risk of errors or missed dates, which helps communities stay organized and culturally sensitive to a diverse range of observances. 

Create beautifully designed communication assetsmulti photo upload
Our Designer solution makes it possible for staff to create calendars, newsletters, signage, and other marketing materials that help inform residents and families of important community happenings. We’ve added several improvements to the solution, making it easier for staff to create eye-catching communication assets.

Starting with our photo upload updates: while previously staff could only upload five photos at a time, we’ve removed the limit so that now they can upload unlimited photos at once. We’ve also sped up the upload process and added a progress bar, enabling staff to track the upload progress of individual photos or a large batch of photos.

In addition to photo upload updates, we’ve improved the Designer functionality to allow “drag and drop” as well as copy and pasting photos. These functionalities allow staff to include the desired imagery with fewer clicks, creating a more streamlined and enjoyable design process.

With these enhancements, staff can more easily create eye-catching designs that drive awareness and participation of community events.

Get targeted performance analysis by region
Our latest update to LifeLoop Insights, our analytics solution, introduces a powerful regions reporting feature, allowing operators to easily group campuses by geographic area for more streamlined performance analysis. Previously, LifeLoop users could only generate reports for a single community or across all communities, which limited their ability to conduct targeted assessments of specific regions.

By enabling regional grouping, this update supports quicker, more relevant insights across multiple locations, making it easier to spot trends and assess performance within specific areas without the need for tedious manual selection.insights analysis by region

Track transportation and work requests more easily
We’ve also made an update to our transportation and maintenance request solution to help save staff time. Our system now automatically removes transportation and work requests for residents who have moved out, keeping work queues clear and reducing clutter for staff. By reducing the need to manually remove work and transportation requests, this update helps free up staff time that they can allocate towards higher-priority tasks. 

Enhance resident experiences

In addition to finding ways to streamline operations and save staff time, we make sure to continually evolve our solutions to directly impact residents as well. Here’s how some of our product updates enhance resident experiences. 

Provide personalized, engaging activities
The AI-enhanced Calendar Management solution not only makes staff lives easier, but its ability to generate varied, creative activity ideas means residents get to enjoy fresh and engaging programming on a continual basis. And because the solution incorporates residents’ unique likes and dislikes, they will more readily participate knowing that activities are catered to their unique preferences.

As an indirect benefit, the time staff save creating calendars can be reallocated towards directly engaging with residents. Our AI-enhanced Calendar Management solution helps create more space for human interaction, by reducing the time staff need to spend on tedious activity planning and maximizing the time they can spend directly engaging with residents. 

Ensure a smooth transportation experience
We’ve added an update to our Transportation request solution where residents can receive an automatic notification when their transportation request is denied. This helps residents plan ahead by enabling them to reschedule or make alternative transportation arrangements quickly, improving both convenience and transparency.

Connect family members

While the majority of our solutions are most visible within the senior living communities themselves, our products are also intentionally designed to support connections with loved ones outside the community.

By giving staff ready access to personalized activity ideas, family members can have more opportunities to connect with their loved ones through activities that are tailored to residents’ unique interests.

And with updates to our Designer solution, staff can also more easily inform family members of activities and happenings in the community, through beautifully designed newsletters, calendars, signage and other materials.

And finally, creating an easier experience for staff and enriching experience for residents means family members can have more peace of mind that their loved one feels cared for, connected, and fulfilled in their community life.

Our product strategy isn’t defined by chasing technology trends or trying to introduce solutions quickest to the market. We design all of our solutions with intention, considering the needs of our community leaders, residents, staff, and family members at every iteration point.
